How the UK's B2B Industry Can Benefit From Amazon Business

Online retail giant Amazon continues to grow, and it knows exactly where to look to intensify its presence.

It brings its business-to-business (B2B) marketplace to the UK, which we all know is the land of online retailers.

Called Amazon Business, the new service aims to tap into the online B2B market here which is valued at £96.5 billion, according to the 2015 data of the Office for National Statistics.

Small, medium and large companies selling office, industrial and laboratory equipment will benefit loads from this B2B marketplace, which boasts an annual sales of £800 million ($1 billion in the US) and works with over 400,000 businesses.

Sell 100 million products and more

Now is the time to take advantage of the opportunity to get your business involved in the supply chain management of other businesses and eventually increase your B2B sales.

More than 100 million products are sold on Amazon's B2B platform, plus it provides free one-day delivery on orders that have a value of £30 or more.

Aside from that, it also offers VAT-exclusive pricing and an analytics tool to help sellers track their expenses, among other things.

What's more, you can opt in the FBA program to ensure the timely arrival of your customers' orders.

As to who will benefit the most from this B2B service, Bill Burkland, head of Amazon Business in the UK, said:

"Whether you are a sole trader, a buyer in a mid-size company or a chief procurement officer in a large multinational organisation, Amazon Business has the products and capabilities to serve your needs."

Sellers who are looking at exploring other revenue streams should take advantage of this new business marketplace.

Magento users are actually encouraged to expand their merchandise and sell on Amazon Business via M2E Pro to increase their margin.

What can online retailers sell?

Because it is targeted at business customers, this platform is a great avenue for you to supply a wide range of capital goods and accessory products.

You can sell practically everything, from laptops and office equipment, to pipes and cleaning supplies, to hard hats and large machines.

Through Amazon's B2B marketplace, you can expand your customer base by reaching a wider market including schools, hospitals, libraries, charitable institutions, private companies and government agencies, among others.

You can register for free to Amazon Business. However, if you are a long-time seller on Amazon, you can add its features to your existing Professional Selling Account through Seller Central.

Once that's done, you're good to go.

It looks like this new B2B marketplace has a lot to offer your business to further its growth. Are you considering selling through it?

Online sellers don't be left behind. Multichannel marketing is the quickest route to reach your customers. UnderstandingE offers tutorials on Magento, M2E Pro, Magmi and other eCommerce tools that allow you to sell and earn more on Amazon, eBay and other marketplaces.

See you there!

Success Is Subjective

Each of us has desires to achieve something in life. Some of these desires are unique with each individual while some are common amongst us. Most of us like to be rich, hold an important position in society or want to have our dream-house / job /life partner. When we have someone else who posses any of the items which we have in our wish list, we conclude that he/she is a successful person and envy him/her. But who is qualified to decide about achievements in the path of success? It is the person who has to experience this success and no one else. An outsider does not have enough knowledge about the real agenda/desires of a person (as these are personal and seldom made public), so any comment made on that is not really relevant. If you hit a jackpot by chance, others may perceive you as a successful person. But, what's about you? Do you feel the sense of achievement by hitting the jackpot? A reward or prize is given by others as deemed fit by them or it is an expression of value th...
